Kate will be teaching Chem 459/549 in Fall 2020. This one-semester course serves as an introduction to the principles of electrochemistry and their application to studying redox systems. Topics will include potentiometry, chronoamperometry, voltammetry, hydrodynamic methods, bulk electrolysis, coupled chemical processes, and spectroelectrochemistry. Practical considerations for electrochemical experiments and specific examples of applications in the literature will also be covered.
Chemistry 164 - Honors General Chemistry
Kate taught Chem 164 in Spring 2020. This course is Part II in the Honors General Chemistry series and will provide in-depth coverage of many introductory topics. Main topics will include solutions, chemical equilibrium, reaction kinetics, acids & bases, thermodynamics, and electrochemistry.
